B Reading

B1  Read about Sports Day.

Ben is one of the organisers of the Sports Day. He is talking about his friends.

That’s my friend Thierry. He’s playing lacrosse. He’s quite a big guy, so he plays in defence. He’s really good at it. I’m not into it that much, to be honest.

Can you see my friend Luke? He’s doing athletics at the moment. He’s a sprinter. His favourite discipline is the 100 metres. He’s really fast!

Two girls from my class, Brooklyn and Nora, are playing beach volleyball. During the winter they play regular volleyball in the gym.

My best friend’s name is Aaron. He’s really strong. He goes rowing with me three times a week, but he isn’t rowing now. He’s playing soccer – or football, as it’s known around the world.

B2 Read the text again. Sort out the sports.

B3 Choose the correct sports with PLAY, GO or DO. Read the sentences.
