B Listening and reading

B1 Listen and read the dialogue.

Raj: Hi, Sanjay! Have you packed yet?
Sanjay: We’re just packing the last of our things. I can’t believe we’re moving to England in three days! I’m not sure whether I want to or not.
Raj: I can’t imagine how you must feel… But I’m sure you’ll like it here.
Sanjay: You think so? It’s just that England seems so very different from India. Is it really so dark and rainy there all the time?
Raj: Well, it’s not as sunny as India, but it doesn’t rain all the time, either. The weather can be quite wet, but look at it on the positive side: the countryside is beautiful because of the rain.
Sanjay: Well, I suppose everything’s got its pros and cons.
Raj: The two things you won’t miss are tea and cricket. Tea is the number one drink here, just like in India.
Sanjay: But cricket isn’t as popular in England as it is in India, is it?
Raj: No, it isn’t. The most popular sport here is football, but cricket is high on the list, too. You’ll have opportunities to enjoy both.
Sanjay: Maybe I’ll meet the Queen!
Raj: Ha ha ha! Lots of people think everybody in England gets to meet members of the royal family, but that’s not true. I’m not even interested in what they’re up to. But grandma is. You’ll see. She has all kinds of royal-family memorabilia. Speaking of grandparents, I have to interview them for our school project.
Sanjay: Cool. Well, I guess I’ll see you soon!
