Lesson 1C: The way we look

A Words, words, words

I’ve got two very good friends, Sam and Emma.
Emma’s my oldest friend. She lives with her mum, near my house.
She hasn’t got a sister or a brother.
They’ve got a beautiful flat, but Emma’s room is usually a mess. She’s untidy.
She talks a lot. All the children at school like her because she’s very friendly.
Sam and I like her because she makes us laugh. She’s funny.
She's got a pet, a hamster. It’s funny, too. Emma’s got long wavy fair hair and blue eyes.
Emma’s not very tall. She’s not very slim.

Sam’s my best friend. He's got a big family. They are all really nice.
They've got a house and a garden where we often play.
They’ve got two dogs and a parrot, but no cats.  Sam's got lots of books.
He’s clever.  He isn’t the best student in our class, but only because he’s a bit lazy.
Sam hasn’t got many friends. He isn’t unfriendly, he’s only a bit shy.
He’s got short dark hair and brown eyes. He’s tall and thin.
